Studios, Pepsi, RedBull, Numark/Akai, EA, Def Jam and Adidas.  Ryan has a Masters degree in African-American studies from UCLA and is well known for his 8 year run as Executive editor at The Source magazine. Ryan has been in the entertainment industry for more than 15 years and has interviewed hundreds of artists, executives, politicians, activists and celebrities. He has made several on-camera contributions to top network programs including, True Hollywood Story: Snoop Dogg, True Hollywood Story: Hip-Hop Wives as well as Larry King Live: The N Word and Revolt TV's: Tribute to Slim Shady.

Kwasi Asare, Managing Partner, Fighter Interactive:  Kwasi was the New Media Manager at Sean "Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment simultaneously overseeing digital marketing for: Ciroc/Blue Flame, Sean John Fragrance and Bad Boy Entertainment. Throughout Kwasi's storied career, he has led marketing campaigns for A-list artists & brands such as: Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Prince, Pharrell Williams, Wu Tang Clan, LL Cool J, Outkast, Gnarls Barkley, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Ricky Martin, Sony Music and Estee Lauder. Kwasi began his career as an Investment Banker at Citigroup's' Salomon Smith Barney after graduating from The University of Pennsylvania with a degree in International Politics.

 

Leslie José Zigel is the principal and founder of ZIGLAW (www.ziglaw.com), a premier multimedia entertainment law firm. ZIGLAW focuses on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industries in the music, television, film and new technology sectors. The practice includes counseling clients in entertainment talent negotiations, record contracts, music and book publishing, assisting companies with corporate structuring, financing, operations, sales and acquisitions, outside general counsel services, trademarks, copyrights and employment advice. Leslie Zigel's past legal experience includes: VP, Business and Legal Affairs for BMG Latin America and shareholder and head of Greenberg Traurig's Miami Entertainment Law Department. Prior to practicing law, he was a concert promoter and producer, working for Festival Productions (Newport Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival). He was selected by fellow attorneys in 2006, 2008 and 2009 for the prestigious publication Best Lawyers in America and consecutively from 2006 through 2009 for Florida Super Lawyers. Mr. Zigel is an accomplished electric and acoustic bass player; he is fluent in Spanish. He is a principal of White Buffalo Entertainment, an independent film and TV production company (www.whitebuffaloent.com). He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Rochester where he earned a personally designed B.A. entitled A Sociological Study of the Music Industry, and a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where he served as Editor in Chief of the Inter-American Law Review.

 

Seth Schachner is a senior digital business executive, with experience in entertainment, digital media and technology. Schachner is currently Managing Director of Strat Americas, a Miami-based business development enterprise which provides strategic guidance and helps global clients connect with partnership and deal opportunities. Strat Americas recently facilitated or negotiated client partnerships with Xbox, Microsoft, and Amazon. We are also actively driving audio & video partnerships, including recent international content partnerships in Asian markets and licensing for a Latin American personalized radio service. Strat America’s current and recent clients include leading mobile app & game developers, and retained clients spanning television, music, and travel. As Microsoft Advertising’s Business Development & Strategy Lead, Latin America from 2011-2012, Schachner helped lead audience and revenue growth opportunities for MSN, Windows Live, and Microsoft’s Windows 8 launch. Schachner spent eleven years with Sony Music, where he held senior digital business development roles in Latin America and for Sony’s highly successful Zomba Jive Records label group in North America. Based in Miami since 2005, Schachner’s mobile deals for Sony Music Latin America still stand as Sony Music’s biggest of their kind globally. In 2007 and 2009, Schachner negotiated and successfully launched twin mobile handset partnerships with Sony Ericsson in the Americas, resulting in 2.3 million mobile handset sales and multi-million dollar revenue gains for Sony. Other experience at Sony included regional carrier deals with Telefonica and America Movil, Apple’s first iTunes music store in Mexico, and a variety of integrated artist and marketing deals, spanning memory cards to television advertising. Previously, Mr. Schachner was VP Business Development at Liberty Digital and Director, Business Development at Viacom Interactive. Additionally, he was one of AOL’s first business development executives, negotiating its first content deals with the music industry. Earlier experience includes business development and financial roles at Universal Music Group and 20th Century Fox. Schachner is currently an appointed member of Florida’s Film & Entertainment Advisory Council, which advises Florida’s Governor. Schachner currently represents the Mobile Marketing Association, and he served on the Global and Latin American boards for the London-based Mobile Entertainment Forum. Mr. Schachner is a frequent public speaker and writer whose articles or quotes have appeared in The Guardian and The Economist. He earned BA and MBA degrees from Columbia University in New York.
